DAY ON THE GREEN

Typhoons, floods, rain drenched and pickled. Cables, strings, sticks and speakers. Bacon & eggs, beer, wine and people. These are just a few key words to sum up our hectic weekend... or our crazy month as a matter of fact.

The weekend started with three quarters of molotov & one full GCLive Saturday afternoon which was the end of a straight two and a half week drenching from Mother-Nature herself. Blue skies? NOPE! Rain, rain and more rain? YUP! But this Saturday was looking promising. The forecast was in our favour. I think I even saw a patch a blue sneak through the clouds before the sunset changed it to fire orange. Which was good! We being ready for a night of rock and good laughs. Luke setup his recording gear to add a few more bells and whistles to his guitar and Rob added his voice to what should be a great new single, Who is Real? Pete showed up during the recording from his rushed early exit from his job to lay down the final layer of vocal tracks and get ready for the night.

Now with recording out of the way we could start prepping for the night's show. We had a good hour of rehearsal which we used to not only prepare for this gig but to also work on a few cover songs we are performing at the show in Tokyo at What the Dickens on Oct. 22. Once sound-man and owner of GCLive, Michael Wade started mixing us in, the sound was ready and we felt great. By this time opening act Epstein walked in and seemed ready to entertain. So we let Yamamoto-san setup his amazing loop rig and start making his hypnotic sounds while we decided to grub on Nagoya favourite fried chicken wings Yamachan.

GCLive is always a fun place to play. It feels like home. Unfortunately with molotov being added to Aichi Vision, which was happening the next day, the crowd at GC was slightly less than expected. Even though with the semi-filled room we performed with energy and precision. For the few that were there, they received a show and we felt tighter as a band.
After the show we finished our drinks, packed our gear and headed over to Red Rock for their always delicious food and drink. Thank you Red Rock.
ON TO THE PARK!
Sunday saw rays of light, blue skies and great times. Since Aichi Vision was cancelled the week before due to heavy rain, the reschedule conflicted with a few performers and thus molotov was asked to play. This worked perfectly with our schedule so we happily accepted, and the day on the green began.

Thank you Aichi Vision and all Great performances by local musicians and artist. David Dycus, Nagoya Writes, Stevie P'.s Revue, Mark Oman, Bob Vidler, CoinDrop 62, Bite Sized Cookies and Borrowed Brass which brought the community together for a awesome day and great vibes.
Now it's time to "woodshed". We will be in the studio working and perfecting our live stage as we begin to add more new original music for what seems to be a explosive new sound that is and will be molotov.
