Big Hair, Big Show and a Debut EP Coming Soon!

During the summer Game Over Humans as a band wasn’t so active, with Rob and Pete going back to their respective home countries to see family and some other stuff. That said – it seems Luke locked himself in his sweatbox of a studio to crack on with the production of our debut E.P “Insert Coin(s)” – more on that later!

September saw us support the German band Penny Surfers on their Japan tour to a small but receptive crowd at Huck Finn, Nagoya. Ghost of Matsubara were also in support and both of them rocked the house on a Monday night. Huck Finn is a grungy, old-school rock venue that may be a little rough round the edges, but packs a punch with a killer sound system and just has a cool vibe to it.

Our first big show of the Autumnal season was at GC LIVE, Nagoya for Absolute Halloween. Despite the rain, hundreds, if not thousands braved the weather to take part in the biggest Halloween party in Aichi. We had a great night playing with Dragonfly, Starkat, The Jerks and other bands. We decided to dress up as an amalgamation of 80s hair-metal bands (scroll down if you dare!) to cover a little Bon Jovi and play the songs off our upcoming EP. The night kicked off with a dress up session at the Air BNB, to all you make up wearing people out there (guys or gals) you have our utmost respect – despite coaching sessions from wives and girlfriends, it ain’t as easy as it looks! We all decided though that Rob makes the best woman in the band, and that is a compliment (of sorts.)

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 2nd when we’ll be releasing our debut E.P alongside Building Trees releasing ‘Deadman’ with support including the Brazilian rockers TROYL (one more band to be announced.) We’re really excited for the release, and know that you’re going to love “Insert Coin(s)”. We were that impressed with Huck Finn that we chose it to be the venue.

Exciting times ahead for Game Over Humans….oh….and if you wear PVC all night, be sure to pack some Vaseline in your case for the ‘man-parts-rub’ that is bound to take place.
